0:00: Hey, hey.
0:01: Welcome back to another episode of the Sales Mama podcast.
0:05: I should just call this freaking podcast Car Talk, cause I feel like the only time I get to talk to you is in the dang car.
0:12: And if you're new here, welcome.
0:14: My name is Sausha Davis.
0:16: I am the sales mama.
0:18: I have been in sales for dang near 20 years, probably longer.
0:22: Left my corporate job in 2017, didn't have a plan, just said, you know what, I'm done.
0:27: I'm gonna figure it out, and here we are still figuring it out.
0:30: , honestly, I don't ever really think anybody really knows what they're doing.
0:34: We're all just kind of figuring it out, kind of winging it.
0:37: And some of us are just better at doing it than others or better at hiding it than others, and we're all just doing the best we can with what we have, right?
0:44: So a little about me is I got 4 kiddos.
0:47: I live on a ranch in southern Oregon.
0:49: , I love all things, you know, horses, homesteading, holistic healing and spirituality,, and I like to talk about sales and I want to bridge the gap between, you know, very masculine, rigid systems and Very flowy, healing spiritual modalities.
1:10: I feel like there needs to be a blend of both the feminine and the masculine, and I feel like that that person is me.
1:18: You know, for a long time I was like, somebody should do something.
1:21: Somebody should do something.
1:23: Well, guess what?
1:24: I'm somebody.
1:24: So here I am, you know, 6 or 8 years later into my business and teaching you all the things and so.
1:32: Today I was having a call with my mentor and it was a really nice reminder that I also wanted to share with you guys, and that is Keep it simple, right?
1:44: If it's broke, don't fix it.
1:46: Sometimes I think we want to be too creative, not too creative, but you know, sometimes we get bored, right, before our clients get bored or we're tired of talking about the same thing over and over and over and over, and that's really where the results happen in our business anyways, right?
2:06: It's the, the magic.
2:08: happens in the boring and the repetitive, the stuff that you have to do every single day, right?
2:13: Think about working out.
2:14: Like you don't just work out for a week and then you're like, boom, yeah, I have abs and I'm the strongest person in the world.
2:19: It's the repetition that you have to do every single day.
2:24: To see the results.
2:25: And so the same thing applies with your business.
2:27: So if it's broke, don't fix it.
2:28: So if you have a program, if you have a process, if you have something that is getting your client's results, stick to that program, stick to that process.
2:38: Yes, you can kind of change up the way that you talk about it and that you advertise about it, but don't necessarily change the program and keep creating new programs and new programs and new programs.
2:46: And this was a great reminder for me,.
2:51: Because as you guys know, I am launching a 6 week program in December and I'm very much going to continue doing this 6 week program as an entry into my sales mama school just so that you guys can kind of see what I'm doing behind the scenes.
3:05: It is like a jump into or it's the step before Sales mama school.
3:10: , I'm all about transparency.
3:12: I'm all about, you know, teaching you guys how you can also use this in, in your systems, right?
3:18: So typically you have some type of You know, free offer or low ticket offer and then maybe you have like an upsell or a mid-ticket offer from there and then you have like your high ticket offer or like your signature offer or something along those lines.
3:31: Now, if you have, you know, like livestock or, you know, like a, a food-based product or a consumable product or, you know, something like that, it is a little bit different, right?
3:43: But you'll still have something that attracts people to you.
3:46: You'll have a conversation and you'll have that sell and then you can upsell them into something else or into multiple sales, right?
3:54: So it's similar but a little bit different, OK?
3:57: But what I'm saying is you don't want to diversify so much that you end up confusing your audience.
4:03: And so I teach this all the time and I also need reminders about this, right?
4:12: Because I have had a lot of interest in this six-week program.
4:15: And I've had a lot of interest in my sales mama school.
4:18: , and so actually most of the people that I've gotten on the phone with recently about the six-week program.
4:24: have just ended up doing the Sales Mama school anyways.
4:27: So it's like, well, why in the hell am I doing the six-week program if most people are just going to be doing the Sales Mama school anyways, right?
4:33: And so I'm very much still going to be doing the six week program because my intention is I'm gonna run it once live, and then I'm going to record it and I'm gonna use it as a DIY program.
4:43: So if you guys want to work with me in a live fashion.
4:47: For a lower rate than what my sales mama school is, like, get in now because that's that's it.
4:54: This isn't gonna be something that I'm gonna do all the time because again, like if it's working, you're not gonna just keep adding new things in.
5:01: So this isn't gonna be something that I'm gonna do all the time because sales mama school is very much where people want to be.
5:07: People tell me all the time.
5:09: Even the calls that I've had this week, people are like, well, tell me about your signature offer.
5:13: Well, I just want to do your signature offer because there's more support, there's more guidance, there's more, you know, there's more, more, more, more, right?
5:21: I'm like, OK, well, let's just go to that then.
5:23: So it's pointless for me to, you know, keep, I shouldn't say it's pointless, but you guys see what I'm saying, right?
5:28: It's so shiny object things and a lot of times we get bored with our own stuff before anybody else does, before anybody else does, you know, and You feel like you're saying things over and over and over and over, but it's the first time somebody else has heard it.
5:46: It's the first time that somebody else has heard it, and that's how marketing works and that's how sales works, right?
5:52: It's gonna be new for the right person and that person is gonna be like, holy smokes, this is the thing that I've been waiting for my entire life, right?
6:00: But if you're constantly creating new things, new things, new things, they're not gonna know what it is that you have to offer.
6:07: Your signature offer isn't going to make sense.
6:09: And when you have split focus, you get split results, right?
6:13: And so,, again, this was a really nice reminder for myself, and I know this, you guys, I know this, but we all need those reminders and so I also had that reminder today.
6:25: Am I going to switch anything?
6:26: Absolutely not.
6:27: I'm just being honest with you guys of where I'm at, and this is probably a stupid business, you know, maybe I'm being stupid right now, sharing all of this with you guys of the inner workings of my business, but honestly, I wish somebody would have been more open and honest with me when I was scaling my business.
6:43: And I don't really feel like anybody is out there that's actually sharing.
6:46: What's happening in real time.
6:48: They're all like secretive about it and like, oh ha ha, you have to pay me millions of dollars to get this information.
6:55: Well, I'll tell you what, this is where I'm at right now is I have, you know, I have some low ticket offers, right?
7:01: I have like my clothes like a mother.
7:02: I have some DIY stuff and I was going to create,, or I did create a six-week group program.
7:09: And so my intention is to have, you know, 20 to 30 people in that, run a live round, record it.
7:15: And then resell that as a DIY program, right, and that's going to be like a An upsell from my funnel.
7:26: So like if people opt into a funnel, they're going to get like a free master class or a free guide or something like that, and then it's going to upsell them into a DIY, right?
7:35: So it's going to be kind of like a self-fulfilling pipeline that's just, you know, making money kind of in the background, right?
7:40: And simultaneously it's going to tag people in our system.
7:43: My setters and closers are going to, you know, message those people and see if they would be interested in more support, which would then be an upsell into sales mama school, right?
7:52: And then from there, that is my signature offer where we have, you know, more support, more guidance, and you know, more tools, more strategies, all the things, all the trainings, everything that you could possibly want or need for your, for your business, for all things sales and marketing, right?
8:09: So, let this be your reminder to keep it simple, to not keep reinventing the wheel, to stick with what works and not confuse your audience, right?
8:21: So if you're known for like one specific thing, be known for that one specific thing.
8:27: Don't just all of a sudden throw everything out the window and go to something else.
8:32: Try to stick with something for 90 days, right?
8:36: And then reassess.
8:38: Or you know, stick with something for at least 30 or 60 days and kind of see how things are going, right?
8:44: And then you can do some even like split testing, you can start running some ads to it.
8:48: If you guys don't know what split testing another word for it is like AB testing and things like that, so you can start testing.
8:54: Landing pages, you can start testing ads, you can start testing subject headlines, and all of that good stuff.
8:59: So, if you're looking for help on this, hit me up over on Sales Mama or Sasha.Davis,, but I'm in the pickup line, so I gotta let you guys go.
9:07: All right.
9:08: Check you later.
